Should you wear a backpack over a suit?

In my opinion, a backpack is not the suitable bag to carry when you are dressed in office wear (a suit). This is because backpacks do not seem official at all. With time, backpacks have been associated with mountaineers and school children.

These are some of the reasons why you should not wear a backpack over a suit;

• It ruins the lines of a good suit, the straps bring about wrinkles on the shoulders or the lapels of the jacket because much weight is subjected to your shoulders as you carry it around. 
• The straps of a backpack damages the shoulder pads of your jacket with time.
• It is really uncomfortable when wearing a suit.
• It ruins your style when you wear it over a suit.

But guess what?A messenger bag or a briefcase is all you need to complete your office wear. They have become trendy.

I can easily say that a messenger bag is a ‘grown up’ version of a backpack.

• It builds you professional image and adds class to your look.
• They are comfortable as compared to backpacks.

Alternatively, you can get them from your local second hand shop.

Class is not being extravagant, class is TASTE.
